History, Generations, Memories and Journeys captured forever in print…
“In the early days, Jimmy didn’t have a studio. So he did his paintings right there, in these working harbours. Painting out of the doors alone, in all weathers, posed some big challenges. Remember this was Greenock weather!” by Alf Young
Sadly the James Watt exhibition at Beacon Arts concluded on Saturday 20th July.
The exhibition coincided with the launch of the beautifully presented 160pp Hardback Book – The Clyde – an artist’s river – by James Watt .
Over 500 visitors purchased this wonderful work of art, ensuring that the paintings, the stories and the memories will continue to be seen and enjoyed.
The book was produced by 21Colour on their £2m Heidelberg XL75 10 colour press.
From the outset of the project, the 21Colour team provided expert advice on the best material(s), worked directly with Iain McGregor Bootlace Creative Limited to deliver outstanding pre-press to reproduce a quality printed publication.
With this level of expertise, attention to detail, the book was reproduced to the highest standard possible.
Trevor Price (21Colour Managing Director) is very proud of the project.
The 21Colour presses have robust colour management tools including inline spectrophotometers that scan every printed sheet for colour and density, recording all of the data and ensuring each and every pages leaves the right impression.
At a time when many printers offer competitive pricing, 21Colour provide competitive pricing with state of the art facilities, knowledge, support and great customer service.
