The Big Red Book
21Colour are delighted to printed “The Big Red Book” for the Labour Party. The Big Red Book is Labours official publication in response to the SNP’s pro-independence book that was published in 2013.
The booklet finished format is a 64pp PUR bound Booklet
The materials utilised for the book are extremely tactile and innovative, with the cover of the book being produced on the GFSmith range Plike and the inners sections being produced on Naturalis.
Plike is a truly unique range of papers and boards with an unusual rubber-like surface texture. Plike is designed to be a high performing paper for lithography. The 4pp cover is produced on plike red with white and clear matt foil, the inner pages aare printed 4 colour process throughout plus sealer on Naturalis.
Naturalis is engineered to be one of the best-performing uncoated papers for both lithography and digital print. Its uniform formation is achieved by using only the best photographic-grade pulps, while its pristine finish is created by the final surface treatments.
#Team21 produced the booklet on the Heidelberg XL75 10 colour press, and continue to produce and deliver the highest quality of print. In March 2014 21 Colour became the first printing company in the UK to have achieved Elite Member Status of the Heidleberg Colour Club in 2014.
