New Heidelberg B2 6 Colour press installed.

21 Colour Scotland’s only Carbon Balanced Printer have bolstered their print room capacity with the installation of a new Heidelberg SM74 six colour machine. The press was installed in May of 2013 to help get the best possible efficiency out of the XL75 by focusing on the strengths of the 10 colour as a four back four work horse. The investment follows on from the installation of a new Heidelberg folding machine at the end of 2012 and the installation of a Heidelberg XL75 10 colour B2 in 2011.

Philip Cole Sales Director at 21 Colour said

‘We have been looking at adding to our capacity for some time as we have a large number of cleints who produce their print with spot colours and we are not making the best use of the XL if it is not perfecting. We have not employed any additional staff as yet, we are simply moving some of the team around and planning to print only 4 process colour jobs on the XL to maximise the efficiencies of production’
