[vc_wp_text text=”21Colour are delighted to announce, we are working with the World Land trust for the 2nd year running to Carbon Balance the carbon output from the 21Colour factory in Glasgow. The business took the decision to work with the World Land trust in 2012 and in the last year, we have balanced 440 TONNES of Carbon to cover our manufacturing output. In this period, we have also used 315 TONNES of Carbon Balanced paper from Paperlinx as standard house sheets. So in June 2013, 21Colour preserved another 37,000 square metres of critically threatened tropical rainforest through the World Land trust Carbon Balance Paper scheme.”][vc_wp_text title=”Paper” text=”The 21Colour commitment to being environmentally minded does not stop there. When we are using paper that is not supplied via Paperlinx and the World Land Trust, we use two other paper merchants – Antalis and Elliot Baxter, who offer Carbon offsetting for the paper they supply. In the past 6 months, we have offset 80 tonnes and 115 tonnes respectively – 195 tonnes in total. So, 21Colour really are Scotland’s ONLY choice for environmental and sustainable printed communication. “][vc_wp_text title=”Ethics” text=”Why are 21Colour doing this?…and why are we the only Carbon Balanced printer in Scotland? As a leading print business, 21Colour feel it is the responsible thing to do. It demonstrates to our clients that we have a socially responsible and ethical approach to business”][vc_wp_text title=”Forests” text=”But it is not just about the carbon in working with the World Land Trust. We are ensuring that the endangered forests’ are being preserved along with the eco systems within them. By using 21Colour as your print partner, you are also doing the right thing by your business.”][vc_wp_text title=”Print” text=”There are still misconceptions around the medium of print. Some people still believe that electronic marketing communications is more environmentally friendly than print, and that is not the case. A printed piece of marketing collateral has a defined carbon footprint. It ceases to grow as soon as production is complete. Once redundant, it can be recycled to enable the carbon reduction of the next piece of printed material. With an electronic marketing campaign, the carbon footprint gets bigger and BIGGER every-time the information is accessed by a digital device and the longer the information is live, the longer the chain of events and the carbon footprint becomes. “][vc_wp_text title=”Reduce your environmental impact” text=”If you want to find out how we can help reduce the environmental impact of your printed communications, please get in touch”]
